New program of the Federation of Industries of Rio de Janeiro works to bring together companies demanding services and products and future suppliers
Aimed at generating business between purchasing companies and suppliers, the Oil, Gas and Naval Opportunities Network Program was launched on 7/12 at an event that brought together more than 100 businessmen at the federation's headquarters. In this first meeting, more than 85 business opportunities were presented, with the expectation of moving this Rio de Janeiro market.
Raul Sanson, vice president of Firjan, highlighted the efforts to heat up this production chain. “Today, we bring opportunities, with the prospect of generating business of US$ 60 billion in the coming years”. The registration base of the Federation's Oil, Gas and Naval management was updated and has 1,800 companies identified in the state of Rio de Janeiro; 3.9 thousand goods and services mapped; 40 interested companies; and more than 874 supply items.
President of the Naval Technological Cluster of Rio de Janeiro, Admiral Lucas da Silva, believes in the transforming power of the new Network. “The approach between claimants and suppliers needs to be done in a qualified way. Therefore, this Network will support the Rio de Janeiro industry to promote strong and qualified connections”.
Anchor companies
This first meeting aimed to promote the articulation between demand and supply of the production chain in the state. Ebse - Engenharia de Soluções and Nuclep - Nuclebrás Equipamentos Pesados, a public company linked to the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), presented their business opportunities.
For Marcelo Bonilha, president of Ebse, the industry will only be competitive when working together with the development of its suppliers. “We need to have all the links in the chain strong to overcome and work on opportunities”, Bonilha pointed out.
Alexandre Braga, commercial manager at Ebse, informed that the company has a diversified portfolio of projects. Ebse will have an increase in the oil and gas industry, which will reach 25% of its total projects. “In a year's time, there will be an expansion of another 5%”, projected Braga. In addition to the oil and gas industry, Ebse works in the defense, sanitation, pulp and paper, distribution, energy and civil construction sectors.
Admiral Carlos Henrique Silva Seixas, president of Nuclep, stated that “it is permanently open to potential suppliers and partners”. Nicola Mirto Neto, commercial director, spoke of the need to supply a demand for 200,000 tons of transmission towers, as well as companies that manufacture piping, heavy boilers, generators and condensers. Entrepreneurs interested in supplying the state-owned company must register by e-mail: diligenciamento@nuclep.gov.br.
One of the first ways to increase the competitiveness of suppliers is to update the company's registration, reinforced Karine Fragoso, manager of Oil, Gas and Naval at Firjan, due to the requirement to present all documentation and traceability of raw materials. "An alternative to these bottlenecks is the training of suppliers", stated Karine, who is also the general director of the National Organization of the Oil Industry (ONIP), an entity that participates in the program.
The next event of the Opportunity Network Program takes place on 08/31. Starting in September, there will be one meeting every month. Firjan makes available to the Network an online form to identify the demands of buyers and suppliers. To access the form, click on the link:https://bit.ly/3IvHYkd.
