Oil production in the pre-salt fields following breaking records. Two days after announcing the mark of 407 thousand barrels per day (bpd), Petrobras has already registered and new numbers peaked at 412,000 bpd - obtained with 21 producing wells. 

According to the company, that "highlights the high productivity of the pre-salt fields". 

On February 18, the first well to produce through Buoy Riser Support (BSR), the FPSO Cidade de Sao Paulo, innovative technology, achieving the outstanding milestone of 36 million barrels of oil per day (bpd) came into operation. 

"Results like these, arising from objective managerial actions, led the company in 2013 to realize a net profit of U.S. $ 23.6 billion, 11% higher than in 2012", the statement said Petrobras.
