The National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) signed the concession contracts for 10 lots of transmission lines, which were auctioned in December last year. With this, companies can now start the work that should generate investments of more than R $ 7 billion and 15 thousand jobs in nine states: Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo.

The contracts were signed remotely and can be seen in the video below, which also includes the participation of the Minister of Mines and Energy, Bento Albuquerque, and the director general of ANEEL, André Pepitone.

“The result of this auction shows the confidence of investors in our government, in our country. More than ever, it is time to generate jobs and income for our population. My congratulations to ANEEL for the work. Brazil cannot stop, ”said Minister Bento Albuquerque.

“In 2020, we held the largest auction in the country's infrastructure segment, even in the midst of the crisis caused by the pandemic. ANEEL promotes regulatory security, already enshrined in reports from the two main risk assessment agencies in the world, Standard & Poor´s and Moody´s, with investors confident in the rules and in the contracts they are going to sign ”, said Pepitone.

Only Lot 1, in Goiás, has not yet been signed. After the disqualification of the first place, the company State Grid Brazil Holding S.A. presented the documents to ANEEL and has already been qualified. The contract must be signed within the next 30 days.

The auction of transmission line lines in December was the largest bidding process in 2020 under the Federal Government's Investment Partnership Program (PPI), with ample competition for all 11 lots offered.
