Oceânica
Oceânica recently signed a contract for the preparation of the load out of 12 modules which will be distributed among 3 Petrobras replicant platforms.
The project, commissioned by the Consortium Tome Ferrostaal, will be divided into 6 trips with 2 modules of up to 1,200 tons (total) by barge. All units come out from Maceió and will be sent to 3 different ports: Rio Grande, Paranaguá and Rio de Janeiro, where they will be installed with the FPSOs units.
Among the activities to be developed by Oceânica, are:
- Barge structural verification
- Stability verification during operation and during the transportation to their final destinations
- Module verification concerning the structural strength for load out transport
- Load up equipment verification
- System design for the barge ballast
- Load up manuals and transport manuals preparation
- Approval together with MWS (marine warranty surveyor)
- Weighing modules
- Preparation and operation supervision: tide control, barge ballast quantity and module partial input in the barge to ensure that it is levelled with the yard during loading operation.
The project is already underway and the first operation is planned for mid-2014.
