(PN) Two new contracts were signed with Subsea7 for the supply of Rigid Jumpers for the projects in the Mero 4 and Búzios 8 fields, located in the heart of the Santos Basin pre-salt layer, at a depth of 2,200 meters. The contracts provide for the delivery of 28 Rigid Jumpers, 13 for the Mero 4 project and another 15 for Búzios 8, covering all stages of engineering, manufacturing, assembly, integration, specialized welding and welder qualification, testing, FAT, rigging and load out. The activities will be carried out simultaneously between Oil States’ operational base in Macaé and in Porto do Açu, throughout 2025 and 2026.
For the company, these new contracts represent not only the consolidation of Oil States as a strategic supplier of subsea solutions, but also “the success of a journey that began with the Mero 3 project, also for Subsea7, and which marked the beginning of our local expertise in the manufacture of Rigid Jumpers,” the company said.
“For me, each signed contract represents much more than revenue. It is an important step in building our local capacity, strengthening industrial autonomy and valuing our technical pride,” said Marcio Robles, Managing Director of Oil States in Brazil. “This is what truly drives us as a company and as a nation. We thank Subsea7 for the trust they have placed in us and for their partnership in choosing Oil States as a supplier of this solution manufactured entirely in Brazil, thus demonstrating recognition of Oil States’ ability to support the major players in this segment and lead projects of relevance to the industry,” he added.
The signing of this contract is seen by Oil States as a reaffirmation of a commitment to the nationalization of highly complex submarine components, offering the market an independent, competitive and certified alternative, “with technical excellence and proven capacity to meet the most demanding challenges of the offshore industry.”
