The Technical Assistance Project for the Energy and Mineral Sectors (META Project) opens a tender for the contracting of specialized technical consulting in the area of Oil and Natural Gas. The Request for Expression of Interest (SMI) is available at the UN Development Business Online (UNDB), Section 3 of the Official Gazette No. 195 and the Correio Braziliense newspaper, published on October 10, 2017.

The purpose of the bid is the preparation of the "Study for the Development of the Long-Term Policy for the Marketing of Petroleum and Natural Gas of the Union", whose objective is to carry out a detailed study on the petroleum and natural gas trading activity, in which a granting authority or a sovereign state holds the possession and ownership of oil and natural gas to be marketed by the Union.

Term of Reference No. 64 was proposed by the Department of Oil and Natural Gas Exploration and Production (DEPG) of the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) of the Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuels Secretariat (SPG).
