Between May 6th and 9th, the Offshore Technology Conference 2024 (OTC) is taking place in Houston, United States. Recognized as the world's leading oil and gas fair, OTC Houston focuses on the supply chain for the offshore sector. The Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments (ApexBrasil) has brought together 53 Brazilian companies to compose the Brazil pavilion at the event.

Floriano Pesaro, Director of Corporate Management at ApexBrasil, is leading the Agency's delegation and emphasizes the importance of presence at the fair. "Brazil's participation will reinforce Brazil's positioning as a global business partner for the sector focused on solutions based on a low-carbon chain. The mission given by President Jorge Viana is to promote commercial and investment opportunities in the country, as well as to expand the integration of Brazilian companies providing oil and gas supply solutions into global value chains," he explains.

To achieve this, companies representing different segments have been selected, including machinery and equipment, industrial automation, safety equipment, foundry, forging, software, among others. Also, to strengthen the Brazilian delegation, authorities representing institutions such as the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuels, State Governments, Congressmen, Presidents of Industry Federations, CEOs, and leaders of the main oil companies and EPCs operating in Brazil are present.

One of the objectives of the fair is the search for technologies and innovations to ensure the world's energy security, aligned with the transition to a more sustainable and low-carbon future. In this sense, many of the companies representing Brazil are internationally awarded for their innovative, technological solutions aligned with international ESG (environmental, social, and governance) requirements, reinforcing the country's positioning as a global player in energy, with companies capable of serving the sector both nationally and internationally.

OTC Houston began on May 6th. The inauguration of the Brazil pavilion took place on the same day, with speeches from invited authorities. The pavilion is sponsored by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and Porto do Açu.
