The ANP published yesterday (11/10) the names of two more companies qualified for the Second Round of Bidding for Excess Volumes of the Transfer of Rights: Petrobras and Shell Brasil Petróleo SA. Both were approved Tuesday (11/9) at a meeting of the Special Tender Commission (CEL). There are ten companies eligible for bidding so far, as Chevron Brasil Óleo e Gás Ltda, Ecopetrol Óleo e Gás do Brasil Ltda, Enauta Energia SA, Equinor Brasil Energia Ltd, Exxonmobil Exploration Brasil Ltda, Petrogal Brasil SA, Petronas Petróleo Brasil Ltda . and Totalenergies E&P Brasil Ltda. had already been approved on 3/11.

Scheduled for 12/17, the Second Round of the Transfer of Rights will offer the areas of Sepia and Atapu, both inserted within the limits of the pre-salt polygon. CNPE Resolution No. 09/2021 established that the Public Notice for the Second Round of Tenders for Excess Volumes of the Transfer of Rights under the production sharing regime would indicate the mandatory participation of Petrobras, as operator, occurring with 30% for both areas.

Other requests may be analyzed at the next CEL meetings. The companies registered complied with all the requirements set out in the notice and are able to participate in the round. Qualification is mandatory and individual for each interested party, even for those who intend to present an offer through a consortium. Once the requirements established in the notice have been complied with, and the qualification having been judged and approved by the Special Tender Committee, companies may submit bids for the areas, in accordance with the rules of the round.
