Petrobras announces the results of drilling of the 9-SES-187A well, located in the concession area BM-SEAL-10, SEAL-M-347 blocks and SEAL -M-424, in ultra-deep waters of the Sergipe Basin.
Petrobras Agency/T&B PetroleumPetrobras announces the results of drilling of the 9-SES-187A well (nomenclature Petrobras) / 9-BRSA-1278A-SES (ANP nomenclature), located in the concession area BM-SEAL-10, SEAL-M-347 blocks and SEAL -M-424, in ultra-deep waters of the Sergipe Basin.
The results show the continued accumulation of light oil held in Muriú area (between 38 and 40 API) in turbidite sandstones, as communicated to the market on August 16, 2013.
The well is located 88 km from the city of Aracaju, about 2.8 km from the discovery well and in a water depth of 2533 meters. It has been found a reservoir with 56 meters thickness and in good permoporosity conditions.
The final depth of this well reached 5521 meters. At the moment the well is still in the completion phase and then there will be an injectivity test aimed at evaluating the reservoir productivity.
This accumulation falls within the scope of the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin deep water development plan, in accordance with the Petrobras 2014-2018 Business and Management Plan.
