The company is among the best rated Brazilian companies regarding the transparency and quality of its financial statements

Petrobras is, for the fifth consecutive year, among the ten companies with the most transparent financial statements in Brazil. The award is given annually by the National Association of Finance, Administration and Accounting Executives (Anefac) to Brazilian companies with the best quality and transparency in their financial statements.

“On the 25th anniversary of Anefac, we are, once again, in the group of the best financial statements in Brazil. It is gratifying to receive this trophy known as the “Accounting Oscar”. This recognition reinforces our permanent quest to improve our governance and our non-negotiable commitment to transparency and increasingly solid results”, celebrates Rodrigo Araujo, Chief Financial and Investor Relations Officer.

The classification is based on rigorous technical analysis by the Institute of Accounting, Actuarial and Financial Research Foundation (FIPECAFI) based on financial statements published by companies based in Brazil that operate in the areas of commerce, industry and services. Criteria such as transparency, clarity and consistency of information, adherence to accounting standards, among others, are evaluated.

Over the past two years, Petrobras has received the Outstanding Company Award, within the group of winners of the Transparency Trophy. In this edition, the “Outstanding Company” of 2021 will be known at the awards ceremony to be held on November 11th.
