Petrobras announced yesterday (24) a reduction of R $ 0.11 in the prices of the liter of gasoline and diesel in its refineries. As of tomorrow (25), the average price of a liter of gasoline will cost R $ 2.59, a decrease of 4%.

The liter of diesel, on the other hand, had a reduction of 3.8% and will start to cost, starting tomorrow, R $ 2.75, according to information disclosed by the company.

Petrobras' note reinforces that the company bases fuel prices on variations in the international market and on the exchange rate. The price for the final consumer, however, still suffers from the addition of taxes, the mandatory mixing of ethanol and the margins of distributors and gas stations.
