T&B Petroleum/Petrobras Agency
Petrobras informs that, in conjunction with Equinor, it has signed contracts for the Integrated Natural Gas Transportation System in the Campos Basin (SIE-BC) and access to the Cabiúnas Gas Treatment Unit (UTGCAB).
With the signing of these contracts, Equinor will be able to transport natural gas from the Roncador field, located in the Campos Basin, starting from January 1, 2024. Equinor holds a 25% stake in Roncador, while Petrobras is the field operator and holds the remaining 75%.
The SIE-BC consists of both offshore and onshore gas transportation pipelines owned by Petrobras, connecting to the UTGCAB, also owned by Petrobras, located in Cabiúnas, Rio de Janeiro.
Thus, Petrobras complies with the provisions of the Gas Law, facilitating negotiated access to infrastructures and enabling the diversification of players across the entire natural gas chain. Currently, Petrobras has contracts for sharing infrastructures in the Santos Basin (SIE BS and SIP), Catu (BA) and Cacimbas (ES) regions.
