Responding to a fifth of Bahia's gross domestic product (GDP) and almost a third of Bahia's total exports, the Camaçari Petrochemical Complex is an important center for the state's economy. According to the Secretariat of Economic Development of Bahia (SDE), it accounts for 90% of the collection of the municipality of Camaçari, located 48 kilometers from the capital, Salvador, currently responsible for generating R $ 1 billion in ICMS.

Investment in the venture jumped from US $ 12 billion by 2008 to more than US $ 18 billion in 2016. Today the space is home to more than 90 companies, including 35 chemical and petrochemical industrial units and 18 partners in the Ford Complex. They are responsible for 45 thousand jobs, 15 thousand of them direct and 30 thousand through contracted units.

With 45,000 direct and indirect jobs, this industrial center has a great responsibility for safety at work. Facing this, it will promote the next DuPont Workshop - "When it comes to safety, being good is not enough. It has to be the best."

At the workshop, participants will be able to find out if only the AC is sufficient for protective clothing, evaluate chemical, thermal and mechanical hand protection clothing and know the Tychem® 2000 SFR and 6000F chemical protection releases. The event also aims to gather in the Cofic Auditorium those interested in knowing about the evolution of legislation and products that go beyond the current requirements in the country, such as Kevlar®, Nomex®, Tyvek® and Tychem®.
