Small and medium-sized Polish companies can settle in Brazil and help the country's government create more jobs and stimulate the economy, said Polish Ambassador to Brazil Andrzej Maria Braiter. In order for this to happen, Braiter said, Brazil must facilitate the entry of small investors by adjusting its legislation.

Braiter said Poland experienced a period of development and employment generation in recent years thanks to the contribution of new graduates from Sweden, Germany, and other European countries. Encouraged by the Polish government, these people went to Poland to create and develop small and medium companies. After allowing opportunities to arise in the country, many small entrepreneurs plan to advance their plans in other countries.

During a lecture directed at members of the International Academy of Culture, at the Polish embassy headquarters, Andrzej Maria Braiter said that “it has been proved that the small- and medium-sized companies are the ones who actually create jobs in any country. In this connection, regarding the Polish tradition of innovating and coming up with new products, Brazil has much to gain if the country facilitated the entry of small and medium investors,” he said.

Among the thousands of high-quality products invented or manufactured in Poland with great reception worldwide are windshield wipers and synthetic rubber.

As for synthetic rubber, the ambassador said that Brazil could greatly benefit from using the Polish product—which he pointed out has superior quality—in the manufacture of tires and other articles. Polish synthetic rubber is currently used as raw material for Brazilian sandals, now exported on a global scale. The introduction of larger amounts of Polish synthetic rubber in the Brazilian market, however, has been undermined as a result of competitors claiming and investigating dumping involving Polish producers selling the commodity to Brazil.
