The POSH Xanadu accommodation platform (flotel), which came to operate in support of Petrobras' production activities in the Campos Basin on several occasions, arrived on Friday (15) at the Port of Angra dos Reis to carry out repairs. The vessel's expected stay is approximately 60 days.

According to information from the Port Management Superintendence of Itaguaí and Angra dos Reis of Companhia Docas do Rio de Janeiro (CDRJ), this is the first mooring of a large vessel in the Port of Angra dos Reis since the company Splenda Offshore took control shareholder of the lease of the Angra dos Reis Port Terminal (TPAR).

The flotel-type platforms serve to accommodate workers who are in another unit nearby. POSH Xanadu belongs to Pach Offshore Services Holdings (POSH) and has a capacity for 750 people. It is designed for deep water and harsh operating environments and is equipped to provide walk-to-work solutions for offshore personnel.
