The Energy Production and Innovation Center (EPIC) is offering one post-doctoral position in the area of Geological Reservoir Characterization with fellowship funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP).

The EPIC is supported by FAPESP and Equinor Brasil Energia and is located in the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. It aims to find innovative solutions for production optimization, including increased efficiency for the recovery of the petroleum resources and the management of the water and gas produced during the exploitation activities.

The selected candidate will carry out investigations on Seismic Interpretation under supervision of Prof. Alexandre Vidal, from the Unicamp Institute of Geosciences.

The candidate must have PhD degree in geology, geophysics or relavant areas. Knowledge in geological reservoirs modeling is desirable.

The postdoctoral opportunity is open to Brazilians and foreigners. The candidate will receive a Fapesp PhD Fellowship in the amount of R $ 7,373.10 per month and a Technical Reserve equivalent to 15% of the annual scholarship amount to meet unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activity.
