Oil output in Brazil to September reached an average of 2.13 million bpd

Petrobras average oil production in Brazil to September was 2.13 million bpd. During the month of September, oil production reached 2.06 million bpd. The 6.7% on the August production figure (2.21 million bpd) was mainly due to scheduled routine maintenance shutdowns on large platforms, and in particular platform P-52.

Oil and gas output abroad

Outside Brazil, September’s figure of 188,000 boed showed a 1.5% on the 192,000 boed produced in August. This was mainly due to cleaning operations on the export gas pipeline in the Nigerian Akpo field, as well as the expiration of the concession of part of the Jaguel de los Machos block in the La Pampa province of Argentina.

Average oil production in September was 97,000 bpd, 4.4% down on the 101,000 bpd achieved in August. This was also attributable to the facts mentioned above.

Average natural gas production abroad stood at 15.5 million m³/d, an increase of 0.3% on the August figure of 15.4 million m³/d.
