Companhia de Gás da Bahia - Bahiagás informs that, due to the evolution of the new coronavirus pandemic, it has adopted preventive measures in order to preserve the health of employees and customers. Among them, the temporary suspension of face-to-face customer service (SAC), at the administrative headquarters (Av. Magalhães Neto), starting this Monday (23).

Despite this suspension, Bahiagás normally maintains customer service through other communication channels. Contact can be made by phone (SAC: 0800 071 9111 / Emergency: 0800 284 1111) or through Fale Conosco and Chat Online, both available on the Company's website (bahiagas.com.br).

Below are other measures adopted: 

Temporary suspension of the Ombudsman's face-to-face service; 

Implementation of home office work for part of employees; 

Restriction of access by the external public to the company's facilities.

Bahiagás stresses that such measures will not impact the supply of natural gas to customers. In fact, some of the Company's professionals continue to perform on-site activities to ensure continuity of service, which is essential, above all, for strategic undertakings in the fight against the coronavirus. Among them, the Couto Maia Hospital, a reference in the state in the treatment of infectious diseases.

In addition to Couto Maia, Bahiagás supplies natural gas to other health units equally important at this time. They are: Hospital da Bahia, Hospital Sarah, General Hospital of the State (HGE), General Hospital of Camaçari, Hospital Roberto Santos, Hospital Juliano Moreira and Hospital and Clinic São Matheus (Feira de Santana).

For the director-president of Bahiagás, Luiz Gavazza, the actions taken by the Company are part of an effort that must be of the whole society and are aligned with the strategies of the State Government, which has given an example of firm and coordinated action. “Bahiagás remains attentive to the progress of the pandemic and, just like most Bahians, it makes its share of contribution in combating the spread of the coronavirus through preventive measures. Together, we will overcome this challenge ”.
