The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) published on Monday the announcement of the 79th biodiesel auction, which will begin to negotiate biofuel for a mandatory 10% blend in diesel, after a temporary reduction from 13% initially stipulated.

The event had been interrupted last week, with market members citing the rise in fuel prices as a reason, given the firm demand for soybeans, the main raw material for biofuel. Because of the scenario, the government determined to reduce the mandatory mix.

The auction will resume with the presentation of offers on Wednesday (14).
