Radix, a global technology company, and the Corporate University of the Brazilian Petroleum and Gas Institute (IBP), UnIBP, have announced a partnership and institutional support agreement to train professionals in the energy industry.

By combining Radix's know-how with the IBP's market expertise and vision in energy, oil, and gas, the initiative seeks to accelerate the training and continuous development of talent in Brazil’s energy sector through educational actions, strategic training, and programs that address the growing challenges of an ever-evolving market.

Both companies share the mission of investing in talent development, contributing to the sustainability of the energy market, and ensuring a consistent pipeline of future professionals for the sector. Together, they also plan to organize mentoring programs, events, and activities focused on promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

“We will share our experience in innovation, cutting-edge technologies, and people management to foster talent development in the energy sector and increase Brazil's competitiveness. Our goal is to overcome the generational challenge by connecting young people with a deep understanding of technology to experienced specialists, promoting a rich and transformative knowledge exchange. It is an honor to be in synergy with IBP on yet another project so important for the future of the national energy market,” said João Carlos Chachamovitz, CEO of Radix.

“We need to attract, develop, and retain talent in the Brazilian energy, oil, and gas industry to avoid a future shortage of skilled labor. The progress of our sector is directly linked to Brazil's economic and social development. The partnership with Radix is strategic in this sense because we will only achieve this goal through knowledge sharing and promoting qualification,” said Roberto Ardenghy, president of IBP.

Excellence in Qualification

At Radix, the agreement will be managed by the Radix University, a corporate university that has existed since the company's founding in 2010. Over nearly 15 years of operation, Radix University has trained many professionals. In 2024 alone, more than 330 training sessions were conducted, totaling 51,000 hours of training. The department plays a strategic role in the formation of professionals within Radix and will now contribute broadly and systematically to talent development across the sector. The partnership with IBP has an initial duration of two years, with the possibility of extension.

Created in 2018, the IBP’s Oil and Gas Sector University (UnIBP) is a national reference in qualification and training in the energy sector. It offers specialized courses and continuously trains professionals through learning paths that cover the most critical topics and the latest trends in the oil, gas, and energy industry. Its portfolio includes everything from free courses to in-company programs and post-graduates. With a distinguished executive faculty, UnIBP trains approximately 900 students annually. Additionally, it offers mentoring programs that have already supported over 450 people.

In addition to João Carlos Chachamovitz and Roberto Ardenghy, the signing ceremony was attended by: Geraldo Rochocz, CTO of Radix; Daniella Gallo, People and Management Director at Radix; Claudia Rabello, Executive Corporate Director at IBP; Luana Britto, Radix University Manager; Karen Cubas, UnIBP Manager; Thaís Zamboni Rezende, Human Organizational Development Manager at Radix; Carlos Tadeu Fraga, Member of the Radix Board of Directors; and José Formigli, CEO of Forsea Engenharia.
