Petrobras reports that its refinery in Duque de Caxias (Reduc), located in Rio de Janeiro, reached the mark of 16,773 tons of asphalt sold in June 2020, an increase of 42.5% compared to May and 120.8% compared to the same month of the previous year. This is the best Petrobras refinery's monthly result in the sale of this product since 2013.

Reduc produces three types of asphalts: petroleum asphaltic cement (PAC 30/45 and PAC 50/70) and cutback asphalt (MC 30).

Reduc is the third largest refinery in the country and Petrobras' most complex, with capacity to process 239,000 barrels of oil per day and produce more than 50 different types of oil products.
