The electrical engineer, Rodrigo Limp, is the new secretary of Electric Energy of the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME). The appointment was published in the Official Gazette (DOU) of today, 17. Limp served since 2007 at the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) and became director of the institution in 2018.
He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora UFJF (2007) and a master's degree in Public Sector Economics from the University of Brasília - UnB (2012). He has a specialization in Regulatory Energy Law from UnB (2009) and an MBA in Management of Electric Energy Companies from Fundação Getúlio Vargas - FGV (2019).
At ANEEL, Limp served as a specialist in regulation from January 2007 to February 2015 at the Superintendence of Concessions, Permissions and Transmission and Distribution Authorizations. He performed technical and economic-financial activities at the Agency associated with auctions for electric power transmission concessions. He has been a legislative advisor to the Chamber of Deputies in the area of Mineral, Water and Energy Resources since February 2015. In May 2018, he took office as director of ANEEL, where he stayed until he took office at MME.
