ROG.e 2024, one of the leading global energy events, will feature three significant sector leaders: Marcelo Araújo (Executive Director of Corporate and Investments at Ultrapar S/A), Eduardo Ricotta (President of Vestas for Latin America), and Leonardo Linden (CEO of Ipiranga). The first two will participate in the Strategic Talks, aimed at C-Levels to discuss business, trends, macroeconomics, and ESG. Linden will be present at the Special Session, where executives will discuss topics related to the conference themes, such as low-carbon solutions, the financability of the energy transition, and digital transformation and innovation, among others.

The event will take place from September 23 to 26 at the Boulevard Olímpico, in downtown Rio de Janeiro, organized by the Brazilian Institute of Petroleum and Gas (IBP).

Ricotta will discuss the growth prospects for renewable energy worldwide on September 26 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM during the session "Connecting Energies: Potentials and Opportunities in Renewable Energies Worldwide." Ricotta oversees Vestas' operations in 21 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay, with a total of 16 GW of installed wind capacity and expansion into new promising markets across the region. With nearly 30 years of professional experience, Ricotta holds a degree in Telecommunications from Inatel, postgraduate degrees in Marketing from ESPM and Business Management from FGV, and an MBA from IBMEC. He is also specialized in Business from Columbia University.

Marcelo Araújo will participate in the "ROG.e Dialogues" session on September 23 at 5:40 PM, discussing "Challenges of Downstream in Decarbonizing the Chain." This debate will focus on the challenges of implementing public policies that encourage investment, reduce the cost of the energy transition for society, and promote job creation. Araújo graduated from the Military Institute of Engineering (IME) and holds an MBA from SDE (now Ibmec), AMP/ISP from Harvard Business School, and additional training from Manchester Business School and Insead.

Leonardo Linden will take part in a panel on "Irregular Trade in the Fuel Sector" on September 26 at 11:20 AM. Linden has extensive experience in the oil and gas sector in Brazil and abroad. He holds a degree in Business Administration from UFRGS (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul) and has specialized courses from the University of North Carolina, Kellogg Business School, and Thunderbird Executive Education.

According to IBP President Roberto Ardenghy (photo), sustainability debates are in full convergence with the development of new green and renewable technologies. “It is essential to have a diversified matrix at this stage of the energy transition, which can combine oil, gas, solar, wind, hydrogen, biomethane, and other sources. This way, we can ensure energy security and efficiency for the coming decades. We will also present technologies, innovations, and low-carbon solutions to promote our activities always aligned with the best ESG practices,” he assesses.
