Amounts related to August production under concession and surplus volume contracts were distributed today to states and municipalities.

All stages of the operational process for the distribution of royalties by the ANP (National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels) were completed today (October 29), concerning production from August 2025 under concession and surplus volume contracts.

A total of R$ 787,341,082.32 was transferred directly to states, while R$ 963,808,721.24 went to municipalities. In total, 955 municipalities and 11 states received payments.

In addition to these entities, part of the royalties calculated by the Agency was allocated to the Federal Government and to the Special Fund, in accordance with current legislation.

Regarding royalties from production-sharing contracts related to August 2025 production, the resources will be made available to beneficiaries as soon as all necessary operational steps are completed.

ANP’s Role in Royalties Distribution

The ANP is responsible for calculating, determining, and distributing royalties to the beneficiaries (the Federal Government, states, and municipalities). Royalties are distributed according to various criteria established by Law No. 7,990/1989 and Decree No. 1/1991 (for the 5% royalty share), and Law No. 9,478/1997 and Decree No. 2,705/1998 (for the portion exceeding 5%).

The Agency is committed to full transparency regarding the resources distributed to the beneficiaries and to the careful execution of the operational stages involved in the complex nationwide royalty distribution process, in compliance with the applicable legislation.

There is no legally defined date for the payment of royalties. Nevertheless, the ANP remains committed to ensuring that royalty revenues reach the beneficiaries as quickly as possible.
