Two former bosses of Kencana Petroleum that helped pilot the merger and integration of the offshore player with fellow Malaysian outfit Sapuracrest are to step back to non-executive directorships. SapuraKencana Petroleum executive directors Mokhzani Mahathir, who was Kencana Petroleum chief executive, and Yeow Kheng Chew said they would continue to advise the company.

Shahril Shamsuddin, who was president of Sapuracrest, will continue as president and chief executive of SapuraKencana Petroleum as part of a planned transition, the company said.
