Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the scheduled date for the start of the operation of the structuring network implemented by SCGÁS in the municipality of Lages will be extended for another month: the new term is now set for July 20. The Company had already postponed the opening of the chain from April to June with the advance of the crisis in Santa Catarina and Brazil.

The materials used in this final stage of the work, as well as the specialized labor, had their supply affected due to the dependence on other states, mainly Minas Gerais and São Paulo, where the crisis has been more severe. As a result, the contractor hired by SCGÁS and responsible for carrying out the work in Lages faces some delays in the delivery of important parts. The new deadline gives sufficient time for the completion of the works and tests, essential to ensure the best operation of the network after the start of the operation.
