On November 25, Sebrae will hold the Sebrae Innovation Forum, which will take place within the program of the 30th Conference of the National Association of Entities Promoting Innovative Enterprises (Anprotec). The theme of the Conference is Innovation Environments 4.0: Challenges and Opportunities in the New Global Dynamics. It is the main event of the innovation environments in Latin America. The initiative has in its history 40 participating countries, 15 thousand speakers and 15 host cities. The 2020 edition takes place 100% online. Registration is open and can be done here.
The Sebrae Innovation Forum will start at 1:30 pm, broadcast on Youtube. The program is focused on two Sebrae initiatives to promote innovation. At first, Sebrae's Catalisa open innovation program will be presented and the Catalisa ICT announcement will be launched, an acceleration day that will offer researchers intense training in management, mentoring, project promotion and access to the business world. There will also be panels with entrepreneurial researchers, as well as success stories among large corporations and startups.
In the second stage of the Sebrae Innovation Forum, starting at 4:30 pm, the Local Innovation Ecosystems (ELI) program will be presented. The initiative was created by Sebrae, in partnership with the CERTI Foundation, and addresses a methodology for mapping, analyzing and intervening in innovation ecosystems. Its focus is to energize municipalities or geographic micro-regions to promote local development, from the perspective of innovation. Finally, there will be a panel with a debate on the theme “How environments can boost innovation ecosystems”.
For Sebrae's innovation analyst, Krishna Faria, the Anprotec Conference and the Sebrae Innovation Forum take place at an appropriate time to discuss the role of technology to boost social development. "The pandemic moment, in which we are living, reinforces the importance of science and technology as essential vectors for the promotion of social well-being. Innovation and, above all, the role of institutions that work with innovation gains strength in this current context . We need to broaden this debate and bring more light to this agenda ".
