Fourth edition of the event will be held in July and will feature a business fair, conference, business matchmaking sessions, and themed arenas.
T&B Petroleum/Press Office SedetecPreparations for the largest oil and gas event in the state are already underway. On Tuesday, June 3, the official launch of Sergipe Oil & Gas 2025 took place, once again hosted by the State Secretariat for Economic Development and Science and Technology (Sedetec). The event was held in the auditorium of the Sergipe Economic Development Company (Codise) and brought together partners, institutions, companies, and representatives from the oil and gas sector to formally present the format and new features of the event's fourth edition.
The agenda included the participation of Sedetec and the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae Sergipe), as well as presentations from the SOG organizers. Throughout the event, attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with key stakeholders in the industry and preview the highlights of the 2025 edition.
The Secretary of State for Economic Development and Science and Technology, Valmor Barbosa, emphasized the significance of the event for Sergipe:
"This represents a set of opportunities that the market has come to recognize, which explains the high attendance and strong interest from companies throughout previous editions. It is a highly relevant event for the state's economy," he stated.
Meanwhile, Sedetec’s Executive Secretary, Marcelo Menezes, described the event as a key opportunity for establishing partnerships aimed at generating new business, highlighting the state's consistent involvement:
"The Government of Sergipe has been a partner since the very first edition. In addition to providing institutional support, we also help with invitations and programming decisions. In short, the state plays an active role, aiming to increase visibility for key industry topics."
Now in its second year under the coordination of Austral, event director Nicolas Honorato shared his expectations for 2025:
"We expect 70 exhibitors and over 120 speakers this year. This market has gained prominence not only due to the offshore investments—especially those led by Petrobras—but also because of the activity of small and medium-sized onshore operators in the state. We believe Sergipe is currently one of the most promising regions for the oil and gas sector in Brazil. We hope this momentum continues for many years, because we are here to stay."
SOG co-organizer and Brainmarket executive Eduardo Aragon unveiled new features for this edition:
"This year, we are placing stronger emphasis on offshore activities. Offshore service providers and operators will have a greater presence at the event. Therefore, it's essential that we prepare the local supply chain to meet this growing demand. We will also focus on platform decommissioning, which presents a significant opportunity for local companies. We’re counting on the support of local entrepreneurs for the success of this event."
In addition to Sedetec, Sebrae is another key strategic partner.
"For the 2025 edition, we expect approximately BRL 200 million in business to be generated. It's vital that our local companies are well-positioned, organized, and strengthened to take full advantage of this opportunity," said Léa Bomfim, Project Manager for Oil and Gas at Sebrae Sergipe.
