A new chapter is being written for Brazil’s oil, gas, and energy industry. With landmark discoveries in the pre-salt layer, the Santos Basin has become the country's leading production hub, attracting multi-billion-dollar investments and driving sector growth. It holds the potential to draw in new enterprises, accelerate the industrialization of the supply chain, increase royalty revenues for municipalities, and generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs in production, logistics, services, engineering, technology, and workforce training.
But this leadership is not an endpoint—it’s the starting point for an even more ambitious strategic movement: diversifying Brazil’s offshore hubs. The current focus is on boosting efficiency, reducing logistical costs, and mitigating risks—preparing the industry for new challenges.
With this forward-looking approach, the second edition of SP Offshore arrives. Organized by the Brazilian Energy Council – BRENC, the event will take place on June 25–26 in Santos (São Paulo), bringing together business leaders, opinion makers, and major industry players to discuss the next frontiers in offshore industry development along the São Paulo coast.
The two-day event will feature conferences, panel discussions, and debates with more than 30 experts, a business exhibition area, a business matchmaking round with over 20 anchor companies, and an innovation arena hosted by SENAI, focusing on the sector’s most disruptive technologies.
Confirmed speakers include:
Jorge Lima – Secretary of Economic Development, State of São Paulo
Natália Resende – Secretary of Environment, Infrastructure, and Logistics, State of São Paulo
Roberto Ardenghy – President of IBP (Brazilian Petroleum Institute)
Sérgio Bacci – President of Transpetro
Dimitrios Magalhães – Executive Manager of Production Development Projects, Petrobras
Felipe Matoso – General Manager of UN-BS, Petrobras
Giselle Tinoco – General Manager of UN-Búzios (the world’s largest offshore field, located in the Santos Basin)
Paulo Van Der Ven – Shared Operations Director, Equinor
Lourenço Morucci – Executive Operations Manager, PRIO
“This is the moment to bring together key public and private stakeholders to unlock new opportunities and establish a fresh cycle of business. The event’s curation was designed to foster a technical, strategic, and diverse dialogue, bringing together those at the forefront of major projects in the Santos Basin and Brazil’s offshore industry. We aim to generate knowledge, boost partnerships, and encourage tangible business,” say the event organizers.
The first edition, held in 2024, brought together over 750 participants, 100 companies, 60 experts, and 18 supporting institutions—solidifying SP Offshore as a strategic platform for networking and business development. For 2025, the goal is to exceed these numbers and expand the event’s reach across new links in the energy chain.
A new wave of growth is forming—and SP Offshore is the launching point.
