The call includes programs designed to combat gender disparities in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics and enables academic mobility between Latin America and Spain, while also offering the opportunity for Spanish students and researchers to visit centers in Latin America.
The scholarships are distributed in the following modalities: 237 graduate scholarships; 96 doctoral grants and short postdoctoral stays; 61 mobility grants for teachers and 302 institutional scholarships. In addition, 126 doctoral scholarships will be renewed. In total, there are 193 academic programs, of which 122 are graduate programs.
Those interested in graduate scholarships must apply by March 10, 2020, through the Fundación Carolina website. Doctoral scholarships, short stays, teacher mobility programs and institutional studies are open until April 3.
Fundación Carolina was created in 2000 to promote cultural relations and educational and scientific cooperation between Spain and the countries of the Ibero-American Community of Nations. In addition to working towards the creation of an Ibero-American knowledge space, the foundation is a tool of public diplomacy, whose objective is to achieve better mutual knowledge between Latin America and Spain.
