Sugar futures contracts have fallen on international stock markets. Yesterday (16) in New York, the lot for May / 19 was settled at 12.51 cents per pound, down 15 points. On the July / 19 screen, contracts closed at 12.67 cents per pound, down 12 points. The other maturities depreciated between 2 and 11 points.

 

In London the contracts for May 19 closed at $ 335.90 a ton, down 1 dollar. The lot for August / 19 closed at US $ 341.20 a tonne, a drop of US $ 1.50. The other lots fell between $ 1.30 and $ 2.20.

 

Ethanol

 

According to the Esalq / BM & F index, hydrous ethanol closed yesterday. The cubic meter of biofuel was sold at R $ 2,025.00, up 1.86% compared to the previous day.
