Starting this Wednesday (May 28) and running through Friday (May 30), the Bahia Oil & Gas Energy 2025 (BOGE25) will take place at the Salvador Convention Center. As the largest oil and gas event in Northern and Northeastern Brazil, BOGE25 is completely free to attend and will feature over 250 confirmed exhibitors. It offers an excellent opportunity for business deals, discovering innovations in the sector, and expanding professional networks.

The Business Roundtable alone is expected to generate around R$ 400 million in short-term deals, not to mention additional agreements and partnerships formed throughout the trade fair as suppliers and clients from the energy value chain meet and collaborate.

This is the third edition of BOGE, now a staple on both national and international event calendars, reflecting the strength of the oil and gas industry in Brazil’s North and Northeast regions. The event has grown significantly each year—this edition will host three times more exhibitors than the first and more than 300 brands, as well as seven international delegations.

The event’s full program is available at www.bahiaoilgasenergy.com.br and includes two plenary sessions (one focused on oil, the other on gas), an academic congress, technical sessions, an ESG Arena (dedicated to governance and sustainability discussions), an Innovation Arena, business roundtables, and technical site visits.

Event organizer Nicolás Honorato emphasizes that the oil and gas sector is diverse and dynamic, encompassing onshore and offshore exploration and production, as well as refining and transport. “There is a wide range of operating companies and a significant increase in exploration activities, both on land and at sea,” he explains, noting that professionals such as technicians and engineers will find plenty of opportunities to learn about the latest developments and connect with potential employers and partners during BOGE25.

Nicolás also highlights the arrival of independent refineries and the construction of new gas pipelines across the Northeast region. This expanding market has a substantial economic impact on the state of Bahia, bringing income and development to numerous cities—many of which have relatively low Human Development Index (HDI) scores.
