The 2nd Pre-Salt Petroleum Technical Forum began today, November 25, and has as its theme the "Exploratory Potential of Pre-Salt and Strategic Areas". The event will bring together about 200 market leaders, including company executives, oil and gas industry representatives and government officials.
At the opening of the Forum, the President of Pre-Salt Petroleum, Eduardo Gerk (photo), will present a study by the company about the positive impact of sharing contracts on the country's oil production, with effects on the Brazilian economy and on the generation of resources for In closing, Minister of Mines and Energy, Bento Albuquerque, will talk about the main challenges and attractiveness of the oil and gas sector for the next decade.
The first panel "Innovation and efficiency in deep waters" will have as speakers: the director of Exploration and Production of Petrobras, Carlos Alberto Pereira de Oliveira; the technical and subsurface manager in the Carcará project, Lars Hansen; well drilling engineer and Shell Digital Transformation leader Bruno William; and the president of BP Energy Brazil, Adriano Bastos.
The second panel of the day, which will have as its theme "In Search of the New Giant Fields", will be attended by the director of Zag Consulting, Pedro Zalan; IHS Markit Research and Consulting Director Ricardo Bedregal; and the president of the Brazilian Energy Research Company, Thiago Barral.
