Vale signs cooperation agreement with JBIC

Vale and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on operational cooperation

Vale and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on operational cooperation, further strengthening a long-term partnership between Vale and one of Japan’s leading financial institutions.

 

With this MOU, both parties will further discuss the possibilities of future financing to support the company’s businesses in iron ore, coal, base metals and related infrastructure projects as well as increasing the partnership between Vale and Japanese companies.

 

The signing of the MOU was celebrated on the occasion of the official visit of the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Brazil. The agreement shall remain in force for a period of three years.
