Statkraft Energias Renováveis and Ventos de São Vitorino Energias Renováveis signed protocols of intention where they intend to invest R$975 million in the wind complexes in Bahia for the generation of electricity to be installed in the municipalities of Brotas de Macaúbas (Statkraft), and Uibaí and Ibipeba (São Vitorino). The protocols were signed between the companies and the Economic Development Secretariat this Tuesday, 08.
During the construction phase, 330 direct jobs and 100 indirect jobs are expected to be generated. In the future operation, the forecast is to generate four direct jobs and eight indirect ones.
"Bahia already stands out in the national scenario of wind energy, and this is a factor that attracts new investors in the sector, in addition, the legal trust of the issues dealt with with the State Government also contributes to these new investments reaching our Bahia ”, highlights the secretary of Economic Development, Nelson Leal.
Leal also recalls that the protocols signed on Tuesday provide as commitments of the companies to promote training and qualification of specialized labor, primarily local, to be used in the enterprise and also the hiring of companies established in Bahia to carry out the civil works, contracting of services and acquisition of inputs necessary for the implementation and operation of the enterprise.
