For 63 years, the BP Statistical Review of World Energy has provided objective and globally consistent data on world energy markets. World Petroleum Congress delegates will be the first to hear about the new trends and get the latest figures when the annual BP Statistical Review of World Energy launches at the 21st WPC in Moscow on Monday, 16thJune at 11.45 am MSK.
Taking place live on the opening day of the pre-eminent industry congress in 2014, ChristofRuhl, BP Chief Economist, will introduce the latest global statistics on the world’s energy production, consumption, reserves, trade and prices. The proceedings will be transmitted via a live web cast.
The 2014 BP Statistical Review will be launched in the presence of BP Group Chief Executive Bob Dudley and with panelists including energy expert and author Dan Yergin. The presentation will look at energy developments by countryand by energy-type, followed by a panel discussion which will examine the important emerging trends and assess the challenges and opportunities facing the energy industry and the world in general.
WPC President, Dr Renato Bertani, welcomed the BP initiative and said “We are proud that BP has selected the 21st World Petroleum Congress to launch its 2014 Statistical Review. As the largest industry event, the Congress will provide an ideal opportunity to reach the leadership of the global oil and gas sector.”
