The National Energy Policy Council (CNPE) has recommended to the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) to analyze the extension of the exploration phase of the block contracts awarded in the 12th Round of Bids.

The CNPE also asks that in assessing this possibility, the ANP considers "not only the contractual clauses, but also the greater objective of national interest and the preservation of investments in the Country." The council's recommendation is published in this Thursday's edition (April 27), in the Official Gazette (DOU).
