The objective is to review regulations concerning the supply and hiring of capacity in existing gas pipelines and regarding public calls for expansions and new transportation gas pipelines.
T&B Petroleum/Press Office ANPThe ANP Board approved today (3/8) the holding of public consultation and hearings on the simplification of the process for offering and contracting capacity in existing gas pipelines, as well as the process of public calls to estimate demand and contract capacity in pipelines to be constructed or expanded.
The draft proposed by ANP and put up for consultation involves specific revisions to ANP Resolutions No. 11, dated March 16, 2016, and No. 51, dated December 26, 2013, which respectively regulate the process of offering and contracting transportation capacity and the activity of natural gas loading.
In addition to streamlining these two processes, ANP also aims to enhance their effectiveness and agility, ensuring they reflect real market conditions, facilitate the entry of new agents, and stimulate competition. The ultimate goal is to contribute to the development of the Brazilian natural gas market.
The review also seeks to align ANP regulations with Law No. 14.134, dated April 8, 2021 (New Gas Law), which redefined the concept of public calls, among other provisions, and with the guidelines of CNPE Resolution No. 3/2022.
