Aguilar y Salas, SA reaffirms its presence in Brazil with the manufacturing of equipment for Petrobras from its plant located in Recife

Aguilar y Salas S.A, leader in design and construction of manufacturing equipment for the chemical industry, Oil & Gas and fertilizers, announces that reaffirms its presence in the Brazilian market as a provider of equipment to the multinational Petrobras. On this occasion, the manufacturer of Les Franqueses del Vallès will provide a series of heat exchangers, tanks and columns, worth about 3.3 million euros. The equipment will be delivered during the first semester of 2015 and will be manufactured at its plant in Recife, Brazil.

The heat exchangers, produced by Aguilar y Salas, S.A, are built with steel and special alloys to resist high pressures, corrosion and the high temperatures that they are subject. The equipment features different security and quality certificates, besides the national and international permanent and strict control to guarantee the best quality. For this reason, plus the 65 years of experience in this sector, Aguilar y Salas S.A, is the official provider of different projects in the petrochemical sector around the world, becoming in this case, in the certified component manufacturer for the Brazilian giant Petrobras. The company has announced before an order with an estimate value of 4,5 million euros to build equipment to offshore platforms, also known as FPSO, that Petrobras is using in the Pré-Sal deposit, near to Bacía de Santos in Brazil.

The dilated experience of Aguilar y Salas, S.A, has positioned it as the official provider of Petrobras, being a unique opportunity to consolidate it in this country rich in oil deposits. Over the last few years, Brazil have important investments to detect new subsea wells, as well as an important technological development installations and underwater equipment. It is estimated that in the next two decades, after the oil fields discovered off the coast of Brazil, the country's current oil production will triple, going to produce 6 million barrels per day, which resulted in overall numbers, comes around a third of the oil that is sold worldwide. Thus in 2035 Brazil will became the sixth world power exporter of oil, according with forecasts by the International Energy Agency.
