Data from the most recent Natural Gas Industry Monitoring (Acompanhamento de Indústria de Gás Natural) bulletin, released by the MME, indicate an unprecedented feat for the Amazon. The state is absolute leader in the national ranking of tariff competitiveness.

The document indicates that Cigás practices the lowest natural gas tariff in the industrial, vehicular, commercial and residential segments. The MME survey takes into account the universe of 19 natural gas concessionaires from all regions of Brazil.

The leadership in the national ranking of tariff competitiveness has been reflected in the growing numbers of demand for natural gas in the segments indicated in the survey. In the case of the vehicular segment, the average volume of vehicular natural gas sold last year , reached 26.9 thousand cubic meters per day, a performance 62% higher than the previous year.

The commercial and residential segments also stood out. Regarding the commercial segment, demand grew 39% compared to 2021, reaching an average of 4.7 thousand cubic meters per day, while the residential segment recorded an increase of 47%, with an average consumption of 1.4 thousand m³/day .

The Company's CEO, René Levy Aguiar, explains that the natural gas tariffs practiced in Amazonas are ratified by the Granting Authority (State Government), at each tariff readjustment or review, in accordance with current regulations, and are available on the concessionaire's website.
