The ANP Board of Directors approved today (4/8) the extension, for another 15 days, of the deadline for Public Consultation No. 7/2022. The consultation aims to obtain contributions from economic agents and other interested parties on the Incremental Public Call Notice for the contracting of incremental natural gas transport capacity in the transport gas pipeline called Itaboraí-Guapimirim (GASIG). The deadline extension aims to give interested parties more time to express themselves, due to the importance of the project.

The GASIG project provides for an extension of 11 km and a nominal capacity of 18.2 million m³/day, with the objective of enabling the movement of natural gas from the "Rota 3" flow gas pipeline and processed in the gas processing units (UPGNs) from COMPERJ to the integrated natural gas transport system. The GASIG will interconnect with the Cabiúnas-REDUC Gas Pipeline (GASDUC III) at km 143.7, in Guapimirim.

The purpose of the public notice is to identify the demand for the natural gas pipeline transport service offered and the contracting of transport capacity in the firm modality at the Itaboraí Entry Point for 15 years from March 1, 2023.

Due to the transition to a new transport capacity reservation model in Brazil and the pricing of this capacity, it is essential for agents to participate in the discussion of the clauses and documents used in the Public Call Process, since they present the applicable reference tariffs to the firm transport service object of the contract.

After analyzing the contributions received during the public consultation, the ANP Board will approve the draft notice and, as an annex, the draft transport contract. The maximum revenue allowed to be earned by NTS with this project and the reference rates applicable to the firm transport service to be contracted through the Public Call must also be approved, since these values are part of the public notice, in compliance with the stipulated in the New Gas Law (Law No. 14,134/2021).

The Public Call is being conducted indirectly by Nova Transportadora do Sudeste S.A. (NTS).
