Bill 254/21, which is being processed by the Chamber of Deputies, establishes that small power plants that use renewable sources will have a minimum discount of 50% or 70% (will vary depending on the size) of the tariffs for the use of transmission networks and distribution, informs "Agência Câmara".
The proposal is by deputy Roberto de Lucena (Pode-SP) and amends laws 9,427 / 96 and 6,938 / 81. Today the minimum discount on tariffs, known by the acronyms Tust and Tusd, is 50%. The new percentages will be applied to small hydroelectric and power plants from wind, solar, geothermal, oceanic, biomass and qualified cogeneration sources.
The text also proposes the setting of regional targets for the participation of small distributed generation in supplying the captive electricity market, and provides for simplified licensing for small generation projects.
Lucena states that the purpose of the proposed stimuli is to improve the environment for the development of renewable generation and distributed generation (energy production by the consumer himself).
