Demand for technology professionals grows after coronavirus

The pandemic caused by the coronavirus has directly impacted the economy and the job market, which has caused the demand for technology professionals to be boosted in recent months. If the area already had good growth forecasts in the last three years, with the emergence of new functions, courses and specializations, the movement has intensified.

 

One of the largest companies in services and applications for the cloud, Claranet saw the demand for cloud specialists, data, developers, solution architects of various tools, technicians, project managers and those with systems implementation skills, to grow 15 %. According to Tâmara Costa, Human Resources Director at Claranet Brasil, the greatest demand in the current scenario is for projects, architecture, Big Data and market behavior. "When we think about technology, things change very quickly and so do needs. We seek to have the right people in the right place. It is more than developing, but influencing and solving problems", he points out.

A survey carried out by Spring Professional, showed that technology companies are the ones that most remained with the pace of pre-pandemic hiring, totaling more than 23%. The list of most requested professionals for that moment, according to PageGroup, includes the cybersecurity leader, due to his ability to head the information security area, acting in the implementation of policies, access and strategic tools for data protection of the company. company. And the cloud specialist, as he develops IT architecture and infrastructure solutions in the cloud, always taking into account security, accessibility and flexibility.

 

"This professional is differentiated in the market, as he requires specific expertise for his performance. It is essential that the skills are in accordance with the needs of companies for the current moment, which are many and challenging. The cloud service is increasingly in high in the market and companies are looking with good eyes ", guarantees the executive.

 

The heated market means that concerns are also focused on retaining these professionals, since many companies are keeping an eye on specialists. "We seek to offer internal opportunities for specialization, training, provide events, and keep our focus on people, with the aim of engaging and valuing these professionals", concludes Tâmara.
