The president of the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama), Volney Zanardi Júnior, signed in the last 17 days Operating License No. 1230/2014 concerning the Integrated Development the Northern of Parque das Baleias. The FPSO P-58 platform, which produces, stores and offloads oil (csigla in English) will be responsible for the production and disposal of the enterprise unit.

The exploitation of the reserves will be through 15 producing wells, seven wells in the post-salt reservoirs and eight in pre-salt reservoir. In addition, nine more injection wells in the project, in order to maintain the reservoir pressure at levels that facilitate the production.

The P-58 FPSO is anchored at a depth of 1400 meters water and distant approximately 85 km from the coast of Espírito Santo. Its production plant is sized to process and treat 180,000 barrels/ day of oil and 6.0 million cubic meter / day of gas.
