Ibama issued on Monday (01/10) the Operation License (LO) n ° 1,460 / 2018, which authorizes the activities of the platform ship P-69 in the module Extremo Sul of Lula's capo, in the Pre-salt of the basin of Santos. The project is operated by Petrobras.

The document establishes 35 conditions for the operation, such as the monitoring of cetaceans (aquatic mammals such as whales and dolphins), beaches and the impact of platforms and boats on the avifauna in the Santos Basin. The Institute also determined the development of a project to control pollution.

Stage 2 of the Pre-Salt is conducted in a regional licensing process that includes:

• 7 Early Production (SPA) systems, structures used in a short period of time to test the behavior of the reservoir and its productivity;

• 13 structures for production development, including P-69;

• 15 stretches of pipeline.
