Global geopolitical dynamics have been exerting a direct influence on the oil and gas exploration and production sector in the Northeast. In a scenario marked by instability and constant change, the market experiences frequent fluctuations, which affect prices, redirect investments, and require adjustments in company strategies. This highly current topic will be debated on the first day of Bahia Oil & Gas Energy, which takes place from May 27 to 29, at the Salvador Convention Center (BA).

The event brings together conferences, panels, and thematic arenas that connect companies, experts, investors, and government representatives. The proposal is to promote knowledge exchange and encourage solutions that combine economic development and environmental responsibility.

In addition to debates on innovation and sustainability, the program includes topics such as exploration and production, refining, the natural gas market, and investment opportunities.

With free admission, Bahia Oil & Gas Energy is expected to bring together thousands of participants and reinforces the role of the North and Northeast regions as important hubs for the sector in the country. BOGE covers onshore and offshore exploration and production stages (upstream), transportation (midstream), refining (downstream), petrochemicals, distribution, naval, and energy integration.

As in the last edition, the 2026 Technical Section and Academic Congress received papers from outside Brazil. Partnerships were established with foreign institutions that organize other international congresses so that their members could submit academic papers at BOGE, and in return, Brazilian researchers can present their papers abroad.

BOGE26 will also feature a Business Round, promoting commercial exchanges between national and international companies, both buyers and suppliers in the sector.

A new feature of BOGE26 will be training courses aimed at students, professionals, and those interested in oil and gas activities.

Two plenaries

The program also includes two main plenaries, one focused on oil and the other on gas and derivatives. There will be several arenas, including an ESG arena focused on discussions of environmental, social, and governance issues. There will also be an innovation arena, a commercial arena, technical visits, an investment arena, and the "Future Talents" program, an activity aimed at professional guidance for students in their final years of technical and engineering studies. The event already has confirmed master sponsorship from several key companies in the sector, such as Petrobras, Transpetro, PetroReconcavo, Brava, Bahiagás, and Acelen.
