For the fourth consecutive year, Infis Consultoria will hold, on April 15 and 16, the Oil & Gas Taxation Seminar, consolidating the event as one of the main references for the country’s energy market. In partnership with the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Firjan), the seminar brings together tax authorities, executives and experts to discuss the impacts of the new tax environment on competitiveness and investment in the oil, gas and fuels industry.

“In the transformative scenario of Brazilian taxation, the oil and gas sector faces a new horizon: from the IBS/CBS tax reform to selective taxation on oil and gas extraction; from export taxation on oil to Repetro, including the challenges of decommissioning. Each change directly affects energy prices and the country’s competitiveness. The seminar aims to debate and decipher this tax future, explore special regimes, and strengthen the sector,” says Eduardo Pontes, founding partner of Infis Consultoria.
Over two days at Firjan’s headquarters, in downtown Rio, the effects of recent tax changes on the global oil and gas environment will be discussed, with emphasis on the strategic perspective of market leaders. The seminar targets member unions of the federation, companies and market professionals, tax attorneys, accountants and those interested in the topic.
