Starting this Tuesday (25) and running until Thursday (27), Salvador will host the first international meeting dedicated to the various forms of energy produced in Brazil. The International Brazil Energy Meeting (iBEM25) is a free event and will take place at the Convention Center, featuring national and international experts.

The event will include spaces for lectures and specialized activities such as two plenary sessions, an ESG arena (focused on environmental, social, and governance topics), innovation, commercial, and investment arenas, business roundtables, an academic congress, a technical section, and technical visits.

Bahia was chosen as the event's host due to its diversified energy matrix, with strong potential in both fossil fuels (oil and natural gas) and renewables (solar, wind, biomass, hydro, and hydrogen energy).

iBEM25 is expected to attract around 6,000 visitors, along with national and international exhibitors and representatives from at least 20 countries. The opening lectures on Tuesday will begin at 9:15 AM, featuring Marcos Meireles (Consultant at MDT Energia) discussing the energy sector landscape in Brazil, and Ben Backwell (CEO of the Global Wind Energy Council) addressing the topic: "Brazil in the Global Energy Sector."

Eduardo Aragon, CEO of BrainMarket and one of the event organizers, highlights that iBEM25 is a pioneering event covering all energy sources and comes at a significant moment for Brazil, as the country prepares for COP30 in Belém. "Energy integration is a key global topic," he emphasizes.
