“Sergipe is currently the center of attention in Brazil when it comes to oil and gas. The state stands out in this sector, and Petrobras’ investments show that the future is already secured.” So says Márcio Félix, president of ABPIP (Brazilian Association of Independent Oil and Gas Producers), who is attending the fourth edition of Sergipe Oil & Gas (SOG25), which wraps up this Friday (July 25) at the AM Malls Convention Center in Aracaju.

According to the ABPIP leader, we are experiencing the most significant moment in Sergipe’s oil and gas history, and SOG25 “is a snapshot, a living showcase of this reality, as it’s the first time that large, medium, and small companies are all envisioning this promising future.” Márcio believes that 20 years from now, Sergipe will still be on the rise.

The event, which is free to attend with registration via the official website, offers a wide range of activities for professionals and students in the sector, such as Startup Day, Technical Sessions, the SOG Congress, Commercial Arena, Business Fair, ESG Arena, Business Roundtables, and the Future Talents Program.

Over the past two days, many attendees have filled the Convention Center’s halls—some to watch technical lectures, others to explore the latest industry developments. The event has already received more than 3,000 registrations, exceeding organizers' expectations.

Participants also have the chance to take part in technical visits to companies in the sector—an opportunity to experience firsthand the local industry’s operations, through guided tours that cover oil production, gas treatment, port operations, and research laboratories.
