Even with the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, and its effects on the consumption of natural gas, MSGÁS closed the month of September, the sixth of the pandemic, without making any supply cut to its customers.

Currently, MSGÁS has approximately 10,300 customers in Campo Grande and Três Lagoas, between the industrial, commercial, residential, CNG and cogeneration segments.

According to the Financial Manager of MSGÁS, Walberto de Oliveira, customers in the commercial segment were the most impacted by the pandemic, raising the company's attention to the need for preventive collection actions. “We understand that we need to be proactive with the debtor because the longer the debt, the more difficult it becomes to pay. So we get in touch with each customer to understand their particular situation and propose a negotiation that actually fits their payment reality ”, he explains.

In order to negotiate, MSGÁS evaluated and took into account the history of consumption and non-payment of each client. Overdue amounts have been paid in up to 20 installments.

The President of MSGÁS, Rui Pires dos Santos, explains that this is the result of a work focused on improving the company's relationship with its customers, so that it is seen as a partner and not just as a collector. “MSGÁS is interested in its customers keeping their doors open, functioning, attending. It is good for the economy, it is good for development. We encourage this not only with the safe and continuous delivery of our natural gas, but also in the sensitivity to understand the difficult time that everyone has been through, proposing payment terms ”, he concludes.
